    Hi there
Im very new to keeping cochins…2 weeks new!. However i have been bitten well and truely by the cochin bug and have fallen in love all over again. At the moment, i have 1 black and blue 19 week old hens. However, i would like one gold laced and a silver laced hen, and maybe a cockerel, if i can catch my partner at the right time! lol. Anyway, i’ve been trawling the net, and they seem to be as rare as rocking horse poo!! Am i looking in the wrong places? I dont intend to show these hens……i dont think, or breed from them….yet (although i am known to change my mind). They will just be adored and pampered pets. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Any general advice, will also be gratefully received.

    Yours, in excited anticipation,
    Molly

  14. JR says:

I’m looking for above average quality standard cochins, mainly hens with a few roos, in partridge, blue, lavendar, splash, gold or silver laced, barred, birchen. Basically anything but black, white, red or buff. I”m in SW MO but willing to consider paying shipping or driving a ways for enough of the right birds. If you don’t have any but know who I might contact in SW MO or NW AR I’d appreciate hearing from you as I’ve been looking for these birds for over 2 years now with no success. Not interested in eggs or young chicks. Must be at least 3/4 grown or preferrably adults.
    Thank you.
